Resort 2017: Christian Dior

While amidst a massive, traditional English estate, this particular collection doesn’t feel classy – and it isn’t, really. It’s much more quirky with an overtone of “too busy to be bothered.” There were some interesting details – ruching with pretty prints and layering, which helped highlight the flowy, sparkly, soft/business femme attitude of the collection. While there were a couple cute coord sets and coats, ultimately this atypical Dior isn’t my vibe. For me, the vintage nods that the OG’s lean to – Dior, Chanel, Valentino, Lanvin, etc., define these labels season after season.
